TCLEOSE - Basic Reserve - F.A.Q.Where is the testing center located? University Testing Services is located in Room 204 Student Service Center 1 building. Traveling south on Interstate 45, take the Spur 5 exit (Exit number 44C) from Interstate 45 just south of downtown Houston and turn right on Spur 5. From Spur 5, take a right on University Drive (first traffic light) and travel to the information booth on Entrance 1. Traveling north on Interstate 45, you must take the Elgin/Lockwood/Cullen exit (Exit number 44A) and turn left on Elgin St. Turn left on ALT 90 (second traffic light). Turn right on University Drive and travel to the information booth on Entrance 1. If you are turning on Cullen Boulevard, there is an information booth at entrance 15. The information booth can tell you where to park and where the Student Service Center is. Parking fee is $2.00. When is TCLEOSE exam administered? With the exception of university holidays, TCLEOSE examination
is administered every Monday at 9:00 a.m. All examinations are held in room 212 Student Service Center 1 at the University of Houston. How much does TCLEOSE test administration cost? The fee is $25.00 for all pre-registered candidates. The fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. You may test as a walk-in on any scheduled test date, but there is an additional $10.00 walk-in fee, bringing the total to $35.00. If you are already registered with us, but find you may not be able to attend your test, you may transfer your test date to another test date by paying a transfer fee of $10.00. What do I need to bring with me to the examination? You MUST have a completed original Endorsement of Eligibility form and picture identification (a driver’s license or a law enforcement agency identification with photo), or you will not be permitted to take the test. Please also bring your admission ticket or online receipt. We also recommend bringing two sharpened number 2 pencils. How many questions are there and how long are the tests? The Basic Reserve, Jailer, Armed Public Security Officer, and Investigative Hypnosis exams all have 100 questions with a time limit of 1.5 hours. Please allow approximately two hours at the testing center. Does University Testing Services provide study materials for the test? No. University Testing Services provides test administration services only. Some materials are posted on the TCLEOSE web page at http://www.tcleose.state.tx.us.
